Step-by-step guide
Edit and polish a product
Fix the design and colors, improve what shoppers read and see, and check the price before returning to your storefront review.
-
Open the saved product
- Open the correct store and select Products.
- Select the product name.
- Use Tasks for the design, colors, name, first storefront image, and price.
- Use Edit description beside the current description.
You do not need to build another product to correct one that already exists.
Most product changes are under Tasks. Edit description is a separate link beside the current description. -
Fix the artwork or placement, if needed
- Open Tasks and choose Edit design.
- If you are correcting only the artwork or placement, choose the product’s current decoration technique.
- Use Center, then check the physical dimensions, image-quality message, and print location.
- Preview the artwork on each selected product color.
- Continue through the builder and save the product and design.
Changing the decoration method can change the result, available products, and item cost. Keep the current method for a placement-only correction.
For a placement-only correction, choose the product’s current method. The centered artwork shows Great image quality at 330 DPI and an 8.50 × 8.94 inch print size. -
Keep only the colors you want to sell
- Return to the saved product.
- Open Tasks and choose Edit colors.
- Select the colors shoppers should be able to buy.
- Check that the artwork is easy to see on every selected color.
- Select Change colors.
Start with a focused selection. More colors create more artwork combinations to review.
Choose the colors shoppers can purchase, then select Change colors. -
Make the name and description useful to shoppers
- Open Tasks and choose Edit name.
- Use a short name that tells shoppers what the item is, such as Cedar Lantern Academy Spirit Tee.
- Select Edit description beside the current description.
- Keep useful fabric and construction details. Add only information that helps someone understand the item, fit, or intended use.
- Check the preview, then select Set description.
Use a product name shoppers will immediately understand. Edit the description, check the preview, and select Set description. -
Choose the product color shoppers see first
- Open Tasks and choose Arrange products and colors.
- Select the pencil beside the product’s color.
- Choose an available color that shows the artwork clearly.
- Select Rearrange products to save.
With one product, you can ignore product ordering for now. This screen is useful because it controls the product color shown first in the storefront.
Select the pencil beside the product to choose its first storefront color, then save. -
Recheck the price, then review the storefront
- Open Tasks and choose Edit price.
- Select Fixed price markup ($).
- Enter the dollar markup to add above the displayed item cost, then save.
- Confirm the resulting Sales price and Profit on the product page.
- Return to the public product page and refresh it. If it is not open, use Tasks → Go to product in live store.
- Check the image, name, description, colors, sizes, and price as a shopper.
Check the price last because a design or decoration-method change can change the item cost.
Use Fixed price markup ($), confirm the calculated customer price, and save. Refresh the public product and confirm that every saved change appears correctly.
You’re done when
- The artwork, placement, and decoration method match what you intend to sell.
- Only the colors you want to offer are available.
- The product has a clear name and useful description.
- The first storefront image shows the color you want shoppers to see first.
- The intended Sales price and Profit appear on the product page.
- The public product page shows the corrected image, name, description, colors, and price.
