Embroidery will not accept the artwork file
Embroidery needs machine-ready stitch instructions, not just an image of the logo.
The embroidery builder requires a digitized .DST file made for the product type, placement, and finished size. A PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG, AI, or EPS file cannot replace it, and renaming the extension does not convert it.
A .DST file contains stitch instructions
An ordinary artwork file describes how a logo looks. A .DST file tells an embroidery machine where and how to place stitches. That production file is created through digitizing.
The digitizer considers stitch type, sequence, density, direction, underlay, trims, and the behavior of the product. That is why changing a PNG or vector filename to end in .DST does not work.
The file must fit the product and size
A DST made for a left-chest polo may not sew correctly on a structured cap, fleece, bag, or much larger placement. Tiny text, fine lines, gradients, distressing, and small gaps may need to be simplified before digitizing.
If you already have a DST, keep it with the original artwork and confirm what product, placement, and finished size it was made for.
If you do not have a .DST file
Send us the best original artwork you have, the product type, intended placement, and approximate finished size. Include any older DST files if they exist. We can help determine whether an existing file is suitable or whether the design needs new digitizing.
